Gr. 1 Third Quarter Notes

Fiction books are stories that came from the imagination of the author. These are stories that are NOT true. Fiction books for children are also called Picture Books or Easy-to-Read books.

Just like any book in the GS LRC, fiction books have call numbers and a color-code.

  • Call Number – is the address of the book in the library.  It can be found on the spine or on the lower left hand corner of the cover.
  • Color Code – is the color assigned for each section in the LRC. This can be found on the spine of the book. Pink is the color assigned for Fiction (Primary)

Arrangement of Fiction Books:
Fiction Books are arranged alphabetically by the last name of the author. For Picture Books or Easy-to-Read books, a +E sign is added to the Call Number.
