Three Happy Grams = One Movie Pass
by Maricar Polestico
One of the most coveted prizes in the iLRC’s Earn a Happy Gram campaign, is indeed, the movie pass. A movie pass can be obtained once a student has collected three happy grams. The movie pass gives the students the chance to watch one movie, which usually runs for three lunch breaks.
The film viewing activity started on September this school year. As part of the Happy Gram campaign, it aims to develop proper behavior among our students in any library setting. Interesting movies that promote positive values and those that are appropriate to our boys’ age are carefully selected for viewing. Among the films that we have already shown are Finding Nemo, Ice Age 2 & 3, Night at the Museum, Aliens in the Attic, and Monsters vs. Aliens.
Without a doubt, the film viewing contributed to our boys’ motivation to show positive behavior in the library. It has been observed that a lot of them are also interested in watching movies, aside from reading books. They say it is a good way to relax and take a break from their busy schedule and tasks as a student.
