iLRC SUPPORTS TEEN READ WEEK CELEBRATION
The high school unit transformed into a festive story land yesterday, as book characters came alive during the kick-off of the Teen Read Week celebration this year. The activity, dubbed as Dress Me A Literary: Walking Booktalk Day, was participated by high school faculty and staff dressing up as live characters from their favorite books. The activity aimed to encourage students to read by making school personnel identifiable as reading models.
In line with this celebration, the iLRC set up an exhibit of Star Wars collectibles, generously offered by Dr. Joseph Ng and Mr. Chris Salumbides. Favorite books of high school teachers were also put on display at the iLRC entrance bulletin board, tagged as ‘Chers’ Top Picks. During lunch break, together with students from different year levels, they wrote on the glass wall to pronounce their love for reading.
To complete this occasion, we encourage ALL HS STUDENTS to write on the MY TOP PICK post at the iLRC lobby.
Be cool and hip, visit the iLRC and let’s celebrate the Teen Read Week!
