In celebration of “Save the Ocean Month”, the Integrated Learning Resource Center (ILRC) , in coordination with the Physical Plant Office (PPO) and the GS Music and Art Department, is proud to present the “Save the Ocean, Save the Earth“ exhibit. This exhibit showcases the artworks of our very own XELECT students under the Visual Arts course. These would include wire and wood sculptures and “found objects” (recycled vinyl tiles) mosaics.
The exhibit will run from September 23 to October 2, 2009. After which, these artworks will be placed in different strategic locations to beautify the school.
The school hopes to influence and involve the members of the community to recycle materials and help save the earth. This can be achieved in coordination with the various projects being planned by the Physical Plant Office (PPO) and other school departments. The PPO hopes to maximize the waste materials from various offices to pave the way for the Arts and XELECT students to convert these into artworks and learning materials.
